An impressive career can conceal some of the darkest stories beneath. Lolo was able to achieve her current position after much struggle and patience. Jones, who was born into a family of no mothers and had five children living suffering from poverty and hardships when she was a kid, endured an extremely challenging childhood. The mother of Jones moved around constantly and lived for a time in the basement of her church. Jones lived a nomadic existence that forced her to change schools every year until she reached high school. Jones who was interested in athletics at Theodore Roosevelt high school, was able to live far from her mother to follow her passion. She lived at four different residences during her time at high school so that she could complete her studies in one location. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra, and recipient of Gatorade the track and field athlete of the year earned her the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the end of her high school career. Jones was among the most skilled hurdlers at the time she entered college. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdle during the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was on the winning team for the 100-meter relay. Jones took home both the hurdles in the indoor as well as outdoor hurdles events at the NCAA Championship in 2003. Jones had completed her college education in 2005, started to work hard in track. In 2005, she was winning Torino Memorial race. Brandt moved out of Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the end of her teens. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt was cast in the role of Naevia for the Starz hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Due to her work with Steven S. D Knight's and Sam R. Raimi's producers, she was a breakout movie star. Mazikeen played the Vertigo/DC comics popular Mazikeen in Netflix's Lucifer that ran for a total of six years. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Brandt moved along with the entire family in Auckland New Zealand in 1999. She began her career in Auckland as a retailer, and was then made an IT consultant. Lesley has performed in numerous commercial advertisements after a few modelling projects. She graduated in 2008 from her college and began studying Meisner method of study. Lesley Brandt had her first important acting role on the screen in New Zealand in TV Drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt was a guest actor in New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street. Then she appeared on the sci-fi film This Is Not My Life which is based on the anecdote of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She later portrayed Naevia in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
